Cryptographic protocols allowing a prover to demonstrate knowledge of a value satisfying a relation without revealing the value itself. On Solana, ZK proofs serve two primary roles: ZK Compression (Groth16 proofs verifying compressed account state transitions) and Token-2022 Confidential Transfers (range proofs and equality proofs ensuring encrypted balances remain valid). The SVM's native alt_bn128 and curve25519 syscalls make on-chain proof verification computationally feasible.
