STARK (Scalable Transparent Argument of Knowledge)
ZK Compression · Abyss
STARKs (Scalable Transparent ARguments of Knowledge) are zero-knowledge proofs that require no trusted setup, relying on hash functions and algebraic techniques rather than elliptic curve pairings, making them quantum-resistant. Trade-off: STARK proofs are significantly larger than SNARKs (tens of KB vs ~128 bytes). Not yet practical for direct on-chain Solana verification due to proof size; used in off-chain infrastructure and L2 research.
