Vote Credits

The unit of reward earned by validators for successfully voting on blocks. Each correct vote on a slot that reaches consensus awards one vote credit. At epoch boundaries, accumulated vote credits are converted to SOL rewards proportional to the validator's stake. Vote credits directly determine a validator's APY—higher credits mean the validator voted correctly more often and earned more for its delegators.
